Thinking and just thinking …
I am tired to
thinking even while sleeping,
of dreaming a daily
episode …
As I encounter my
shadow creeping,
it lingers to pen
down a fortnightly episode.
‘I am done struggling,’
tells my soul,
‘For I am heavy with
thoughts!’
‘Don’t hurl me
towards your unruly goal …’
‘in the hapless
pursuit of connecting the dots.’
I try to free myself
from the whims of excellence,
and let my soul
float.
As it escapes the
cage of the worldly turbulence,
we peacefully sleep
on a good note …
‘You will be where
you are destined to be …’
‘… there’s no use
being abode to the destruction within.’
‘There’s a line
beyond which you should see,’
‘but be gratified and
do not wear thin …’
'Sit, relax and watch life happen.' says my soul.
'Sit, relax and watch life happen.' says my soul.
A moving depiction of feeling by the poetess.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mr. Rambler for your comment and for visiting my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHiba, i didnt understand much. I am not as intelligent as you are but it sure sounds beautiful. And youre a beautiful writer.
ReplyDeleteThank you Hassan! It simply means that sometimes you need to stop being too hard on yourself regarding your career progression in life and leave it to destiny. However, it shouldn't be mistaken into maintaining a carefree attitude ... everybody is struggling at some point in life but you shouldn't succumb to it to the point of over-thinking your mind into melancholy.
ReplyDeleteHope you got the point. :)
Hmmm. After your explanation, read the poem again. Understood it much more. Thank you :)
